Volunteers

Volunteering is a great way to gain work experience, build up confidence and meet new people.

We always welcome people who want to work with our youth group. This could be either a regular commitment or perhaps organising a one-off activity or cooking for the group. We would especially like to hear from creative people for small group projects or big wall projects!  

We would like to recruit new volunteers with green fingers! If you enjoy gardening, or would like to have a go at gardening and growing things, please contact us. We would especially like to hear from people who know how to grow vegetables on our community allotment.

Community Action Zone Volunteers for 'Let's Get It Sorted'

The Centre is currently looking for volunteers to join our Community Action Zone team. 'Let's Get It Sorted' provides information and support to people feeling worried about money, benefits, debt, bills or their health and wellbeing. Our volunteers will help people to access information and services that are available to help them. Volunteers will have full training (with the chance to go on to a City and Guilds qualification) and will be part of a supportive team. We would love to hear from you if you:

• Are good at listening to people

• Are non-judgemental and able to work with people from a range of backgrounds

• Have basic written English, Maths and IT skills (in particular, know your way around the internet)

• Are reliable and able to commit to 2 hours a week/fortnight
